Veterinary hospitals across the country have experienced unprecedented appointment requests. This combined with new <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/sbahvet.com\/whats-the-wait-covid-and-the-veterinary-industry\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Covid-19<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> protocols (like curbside service) and trying to avoid employee burnout means that your typical veterinary visit seems to take much longer than before.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We want to explain a bit more about our current appointment process to help simplify your next visit so your pets can get the care they need when they need it.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Curbside Service for Appointments\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Like most veterinary hospitals, we are still practicing curbside service for our veterinary visits. If you make an appointment, you can expect the following process:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Call us at <a href=\"tel: +1 (916) 726-2334\">(916) 726-2334<\/a> when you arrive to get checked in. A technician will take your pet\u2019s history over the phone and bring your pet inside the hospital<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The doctor will call you during the exam to update you on your pet\u2019s health and discuss any further attention your pet might need<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Once the visit is complete, a member of the team will reach out to you to handle your payment, and we will bring your pet back out to you along with any items or instructions you will need to bring home.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We are happy to offer water bottles to make this wait time more convenient. Please let us know if you need some water at any time during your pet\u2019s visit.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Drop-Off Service for Urgent Care<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We are currently offering a drop-off service for urgent care cases that allow our customers to drop their pets off for their appointments and return to pick them up when the visit is complete. Our team will still call you during the visit to let you know your pet\u2019s condition and discuss any next steps with you.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We Have Appointments Available for Urgent Care<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Many pet owners are struggling to find veterinarians with available urgent care appointments, which adds even more stress when you are worried about your pet. We want to let you know that we have plenty of urgent care appointments. We can often get clients in within the next day or two and have a doctor designated to handle same-day urgent and emergency appointments.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Please note that although we will be able to get you in quickly, we might not be able to get you an appointment with your usual doctor. But have no fear, our entire staff is very capable of offering your pet top-level care.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Canceling Appointments<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We understand that sometimes other situations arise that may prevent you from making your scheduled appointment. If you have to cancel your appointment, we ask that you <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/sbahvet.com\/contact\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">give us a call <\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">to let us know you cannot make it so we can set that time aside for another pet in need of veterinary care.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The entire team at Sunrise Boulevard Animal Hospital is here to help make this unusual time as pain-free as possible.
