Rattlesnakes Among Us<\/span><\/h2>\n

Rattlesnakes are active year-round in mild climates, but are most active in the spring and <\/span>summer months<\/span><\/a>. Rattlesnakes are venomous, and one of the two families of snakes that are poisonous.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

There are three different subspecies of rattlesnakes in our region, including Northern Pacific, Western Diamondback, and Mojave. The majority of snake bites occur when a snake feels under threat. Dogs, unless diverted, will corner a snake and get bitten. This bite can be life-threatening and is quite painful.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
